WHERE THE LIGHT LEADS

It all started when…

I never meant to photograph weddings. After almost a decade in the British Army I left to follow a photography bug and to try and embrace the words of my late father to, “Do more of what makes you happy”. The occasional friend’s wedding aside, I had never really considered weddings to be a route forward, the wedding photography industry already being full of incredible talent and individuals with decades more experience.

And then Covid. Sheltering in the Dorset countryside it started with an ‘emergency’ email. A friend had a wedding to shoot but due to flight restrictions they were stuck and couldn’t get back to the UK - could I, would I? And so it began. Four years later and with more than 50 weddings now captured it has been incredibly fun and this is only the beginning. If you are reading this it is almost surely due to a recommendation from a friend as I do not advertise, and I like it that way. It has been a privilege to get to know every couple I have shot, and even more so to catch up with them at subsequent weddings, be it friends or siblings, and especially to meet their next generation (always a special photo to capture).

Oddly enough my family motto is, “Where the light leads”, and if it has lead you to my work then fantastic. Be it intimate registry service, or even an international escape, I would love to hear from you so please do reach out using the contact form.

I look forward to meeting you soon. Nico.
